“Very well done, particularly to the imaginative writers (this is not just lukewarm praise)” Sam Baker
Lukewarm

St Peter’s 26th November 4.20pm
This was a set of three plays written by three different people loosely held together by what seemed not very much more than the presence of a bathtub on stage, and directed by the same person. One was certainly made to feel very confused indeed. Perhaps this was the consensual intention of each of the three playwrights. The violent contrasts of mood between each of the pieces made it a very original work indeed, if a little taxing to follow.
The directing was generally good, and the acting solid. It is fairly daring to be on stage for more than 10 minutes half naked. Credit is due therefore to the wonderful Joseph Funnell, who also wrote the third “play”, for his ego and brilliantly confident stage presence. I thought Pollyanna Newcombe and Emily Clarke embodied old age pensioners incredibly well, aided by good costumes and make up. Lighting was effective. A weakness to the entire three “play” work was the use of space, or somewhat lack of it. One felt a bit drowned by the bathtub centre stage. Otherwise, very well done, particularly to the imaginative writers. (This is not just lukewarm praise)
