James and the Giant Peach
Review by Garrett Mostowski
I laughed, I giggled, I wished, and I wondered as I watched James and the Giant Peach at the OFS theatre.
The acting was perfect. The grasshopper, catepillar, James, and the whole lot were excellent. Spiker and Sponge were hilarious and they made the book come to life. I really cannot compliment the actors enough. If you don’t believe me, go see it for yourself.
My only complaint was the stage and sound crew. They just did not seem to be with it. The sound was always low and behind schedule. Honestly, whoever was running the behind the scenes action did a terrible job.
However, as I said before, the acting was phenomenal and it was the most fun that I have had at the theatre thus far. I cannot urge you enough to go see James and the Giant Peach.
If the sound crew and stage crew can get their ‘act’ together, maybe the play would be perfect, but until then 4 stars our of five.

Great review! I attended the show both on opening night (Tuesday) and last night (Wednesday). I assume your reviewer was there Tuesday as last night’s production was tweaked with regard to the stage crew and sound crew. It made a difference and I’d certainly recommend the show to anyone wondering how to entertain their children over half term. At least 4.5 stars now!!
