The Oxford Revue have been in the comedy business for over fifty years; the university sketch group was founded in the 1950s by Michael Palin, and has been consistently delighting audiences with its unique brand of subversive humour ever since. Rowan Atkinson, Alan Bennett, Richard Curtis, Al Murray, and Armando Iannucci are just a few of the comedic legends who started their careers in entertainment with the Oxford Revue. The rising young comedy stars of the group’s current incarnation are undoubtedly destined for great things too; “the cast may change, but the laughter is guaranteed” (Daily Info, 2009).
