“Any actress who plays Katisha, the unwanted bride of Nanki-Poo with “a caricature of a face”, can’t be vain, but Denhoed embraced Katisha’s overpowering undesirability and made the performance a delight.” Kirstin Hollingsworth

The Mikado
Review by Kirstin Hollingsworth
The start was unpromising- the curtain rose to a drably dressed seated chorus behind the Emperors of Japan, who were dressed in suits and at the mercy of a terrible dance routine. Would I need some of that champagne being served up on stage in ...

Musgrave Ritual
Magdalen, Friday 27th November, 2.15pm,
Review by Paul Hardwick
The Musgrove Ritual was an excellent adaptation of a Sherlock Holmes Radio Play, dramatising the recording of the original radio programme aided by a fantastic set authentically recreating a green room and adjacent recording studio. Magdalen, 26th November 2009, 12.30
Review by Uday Raj Anand

How do you take a simple idea, and do it well, in an honest, uncomplicated way? Ask the cast of Pandemonium. This performance takes a powerful excerpt from Milton’s Paradise Lost and dramatizes it.
