Not your standard Cupper’s entry, but perhaps another reason why I enjoyed this so much. More importantly, the acting and voicing of the characters was moreorless spot on throughout. Meg Barlett and Finola Austin, who directed themselves for this challenging piece, put on such a classy show, and portrayed the upper class stereotypes extremely well. A perfect Cupper’s Lads’ choice, yet so much could go so wrong. How can the crass sexual innuendo be controlled, how can the concentration levels be maintained amidst the crude down to earth and brilliantly funny writing? This Merton lot seemed to have pulled it off very well.
